Yvonne DeBandi is a NATS member, graduate of Florida State
University School of Music and has been successfully teaching
singers to be outstanding since 1991.
Location:
Your computer with an internet connection. We will be using
technology that allows cross platform, so it doesn't matter
if you are a Windows, Mac or other machine. Don't delay. Limited
seating available! You will also need access to a telephone
(calls are not toll free).
Dates
& Times: Currently we are asking the students
to provide us with the days and times they prefer. We then
try to match them up with students having a similar schedule.
Your class(es) will begin within three weeks of signing up.
Vocal Coach Yvonne DeBandi will contact you personally to
confirm your class time and date. Once your class time and
date is scheduled you will receive an email on how to log
into your class within 48 hours of your class time.

Preparation
- Is there any tension, stress or motion stealing energy
from my voice? Learn what these are, how to
identify them quickly and abolish them forever.
9 out of 10 times these energy theives keep a performer
from singing at their best.
Breathing
- Do I have control of my airflow or is my need for oxygen
controlling me? Learn all the ins and outs
of breathing for singing, as well as some exercises you
can do to consistently improve your singing skills.

SINGING
- Vocal Mechanics 102
Prerequisite: Vocal Mechanics 101
Tone
Creation - Is my pure and natural tone clear or cluttered?
Learning to strengthen your pure and natural sound, before
adding stylistic nuances will make you a much better singer.
Learn how to clear your tone, increase your singing range
and sing without cracking or breaking.
Diaphragm
- Am I supporting an airflow river during exhalation or
just letting the air escape? Reallly understand
how your diaphragm works, while learning exercises to increase
diaphragmatic strength and flexibility.
SINGING
- Vocal Mechanics 103
Prerequisite: Vocal Mechanics 101, 102
Resonation
- Am I creating my signature voice or is my voice just existing?
So many students believe the voice they hear
when they first begin singing or speaking is the voice they
are stuck with for life. Understanding resonation and how
to use it to your advantage could make you sound completely
different today than you did yesterday.
Tone Placement - Am I specifically placing my
tone or am I guessing? If you have ever been
singing a song and worried whether a certain note is going
to come out right or not...you need more information on
tone placement. No longer guess about notes and if they
will sound like they did yesterday. Just like a piano player
places his fingers on keys in a specific manner, a singer
can place a note. Specific information and charts during
this section will clear up quite a bit of confusion.
SINGING
- Vocal Mechanics 104
Prerequisite: Vocal Mechanics 101,
102, 103
Advanced
Tone Placement - Learn a unique theory that
will help you place notes, especially high ones, over and
over again easily.
Putting
it All Together - Am I Singing Smart or Singing Hard?
Learning how to put all these concepts together and use
them at the same time could be a daunting task, but it doesn't
have to be. Learn how to identify your singing challenges,
how to specifically work on them one by one. By building
a strong vocal foundation, you can continue to improve your
